Europe does not compete with the US on volume and never will. What it does have is a much higher median profile.

The UK is the outlier in engagement

10,173 median likes on a British profile against 1,877 on an American one. With 6.7 times fewer profiles, the UK middle sits far higher than the US middle.

This is the crowding effect again, seen from the other side. A smaller market means less competition for the same attention, so the typical page does better even though the ceiling is lower.

Price goes the other way

Sweden is the most expensive market on this table at $15.69, and Romania the cheapest at $10.91. That is a real gap, but it is also the only place in our data where local economics visibly touch the price.

Everywhere else, European pricing clusters within a dollar of $13, the same as everywhere else in the world.

Germany and Italy lean free

Both sit near 30% free to join, well above the 24.1% in the US. If you want to sample a European niche without paying at the door, those two countries give you the most room.
