63.4% of Argentine profiles are free to join. In Brazil it is 13%. Same platform, same year, completely different default.
Across the whole catalog, 34.1% of profiles are free to join. Split that by country and the number stops being stable.
| Country | Profiles | Free to join |
|---|---|---|
| Argentina | 4,102 | 63.4% |
| Ukraine | 479 | 52.4% |
| Thailand | 768 | 31.5% |
| Germany | 1,840 | 29.8% |
| Italy | 2,126 | 29.7% |
| United States | 39,786 | 24.1% |
| Mexico | 5,376 | 14.7% |
| Colombia | 5,259 | 14.1% |
| Brazil | 4,104 | 13% |
| Peru | 522 | 12.6% |
Five times more Argentine pages are free than Peruvian ones, and both samples are large enough that this is not noise.
The countries at the top of this table do not share a region or an income level. Argentina and Ukraine are both places where the local currency has been unreliable, and a fixed dollar subscription is an awkward product when your buyer's money moves week to week. Selling item by item sidesteps that.
Germany and Italy sitting near 30% is harder to explain that way. My guess is market maturity: in places where the audience has been buying for longer, the free page with paid messages is simply the format that won.
Both of those are guesses. The counts are not.
Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Peru all sit between 12.6% and 14.7%, the lowest cluster in the table. It is also the region with the second-largest creator population after the US, so this is a big group behaving consistently.
Which makes Argentina at 63.4% genuinely strange, given it sits right next to them.
The free section filters the whole catalog down to the 62,051 profiles that cost nothing to join, and you can add a country on top of it. Read what free actually buys you first, because the word is doing a lot of work.
Figures pulled from the OnlyLocus catalog on August 19, 2026, covering the 94,431 profiles that carry a country.
87,760 profiles never told us where they are. We have no posting frequency, no earnings, and no way to tell an active page from an abandoned one. Read our numbers with that in mind.
United Kingdom carries a median like count of 10,173, more than five times the American figure. European markets are small, but the profiles inside them are not quiet.
29,146 profiles use the word "free" in their bio, including plenty that charge for entry. 17,162 push you to a link somewhere else.
